On April 17, 2023, the touring exhibition, with the theme of “Carrying Forward the Spirit of Beijing 2022 and Promoting the Development of Border Areas,” was held on campus of Hotan No. 5 and No. 6 Middle Schools in Derun Education Park and Hotan Beijing Haidian Elementary School in Xinjiang, to an audience of nearly 7,000 students from all ethnic groups. The visiting delegation brought Olympic gift package to the students and told them the spirit of the Beijing 2022 Games. Ji Chuanpai, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of Beijing Olympic City Development Center, and Mi Jia, member of the Party Committee and deputy head of Hotan Command Center of the Office of Beijing Municipal Leading Group for Cooperation and Assistance, attended the activities and presented the Olympic gift bags, and Wang Kun, a deputy-director-level official of Beijing Olympic City Development Center delivered a speech. Also present at the event was Wang Kai, deputy director of Social Affairs Department of the Hotan Command Center of the Office of Beijing Municipal Leading Group for Cooperation and Assistance, deputy director of Publicity Department of Hotan Prefectural Party Committee; Dong Hongwei, director of Legal and Finance Department of Beijing Olympic City Development Center; and Zhang Guimei, deputy secretary of Education Work Committee of Hotan Prefectural Party Committee, and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Hotan Prefectural Education Bureau.

In his speech, Wang Kun pointed out that this travelling exhibition was staged to enhance public understanding of the Olympic Movement and the spirit of the Beijing 2022 Games. The exhibition shows the wonderful moments of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the hard work made by the workers for the success of the Games and by the Chinese athletes for the honor of the motherland. He hoped that the students would draw strength and inspiration from it, and study hard to serve the country. The students are the future and hope of the motherland. He hoped that all the students would join them in disseminating and carrying forward the spirit of the Beijing 2022 Games, always live up to the Olympic motto of “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together,” work hard to constantly surpass themselves together for a shared future and for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

At Hotan No. 5 Middle School and No. 6 Middle Schools, the organizer presented the students with the Olympic gift package containing the Olympic picture albums, the mascot and more. The Olympic torchbearer Dinige’er Yilamujiang and members of the communication delegation Yang Yang, Cao Wenfeng and Liu Yukun each gave a lecture on the playground, to an audience of 6,000 teachers and students. The touching deeds and wonderful speeches of the lecturers won rounds of applause from the audience. Liu Yukun brought with him the torch he held during the Paralympic Torch Relay, which was passed among thousands of students. The speeches were warmly received by the students and followed by proactive interaction in a lively atmosphere.

At the activity site of Hotan Beijing Haidian Elementary School, which was built with the aid of Beijing, the children chorused the song “Together for the Future,” echoing the slogan of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The atmosphere was lively. The organizer presented the Olympic gift bags to the students, followed by wonderful speeches which won rounds of applause and cheers from the audience, showing their strong feelings for the Games.
