On December 4, a ceremony was held in Chongli, Zhangjiakou, to mark the debut of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ski Pass, an effort to implement the Annual Proposal for Developing the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports, Culture and Tourism Belt. The first Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ski Pass was jointly released by Wang Biao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director-General of the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, Li Keliang, Deputy Secretary of the Zhangjiakou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Zhangjiakou, Ji Chuanpai, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy head of the Beijing Olympic City Development Center, Liu Haifeng, Deputy Mayor of Zhangjiakou, Guo Zhiwei, Vice Chairman of the Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultive Conference and head of the Sports Bureau, Gu Ailing Eileen, a gold medalist of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and Wang Xinfeng, a Level IV Division Rank Official of the Sports Development Department of the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau.

The Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ski Pass series includes the Chongli 2-Day Ski Ticket, Chongli 3-Day Ski Ticket, and Beijing-Zhangjiakou Two-Entry Pass, Four-Entry Pass, 1+2-Entry Pass, applicable to 11 ski resorts, including Wanlong Ski Resort, Genting Snow Park, Thaiwoo Ski Resort, Forlong Snow Park, Cuiyunshan Galaxy Ski Resort, Dolomiti Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou, and the National Alpine Ski Center, Yuyang Ski Resort, Vanke Xishan Ski Resort, Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort and Huaibei Ski Resort. During the pre-sale period from December 4 to 31, 2023, customers can make reservations via the "Love Ski" APP, with a subsidy up to 30% of the product price. From January 1, 2024 on, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ski Pass will be officially on sale. With it you can ski at any of the abovementioned 11 ski resorts in Beijing and Zhangzhou as you like it.
The launch ceremony was co-hosted by Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, Beijing Olympic City Development Center, and Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Zhangjiakou Municipal Sports Bureau. The Beijing-Zhangjiakou Ski Pass is the first cross-regional ski pass in the country. Benchmarking against the world-class ski areas, Beijing and Zhangjiakou hopes that the cross-regional pass will help upgrade the traditional ski consumption scene by linking multiple ski resorts in the two cities, strengthen the connectivity of the ski industry in both cities, drive the upgrading of winter sport consumption of the general public, and move faster to develop the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports, Culture and Tourism Belt and thus promote the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
The Annual Proposal for Developing the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports, Culture and Tourism Belt was jointly issued by Beijing Olympic City Development Center, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, and Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Government at the opening ceremony of the 14th Beijing Olympic City Sports and Culture Festival on August 16, 2023. The two cities agreed to work together in six areas: establishing a coordination and support mechanism for inheriting the Olympic legacy, strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, promoting cultural exchanges among Olympic museums, and organizing mass sport events, to enhance the post-Games use of Olympic venues and drive regional development.
