Co-hosted by the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association, the trials for the 2024 Beijing Teqball Challenge and the Teqball World Series Beijing were held at Capital University of Physical Education and Sports on 25 August. Gao Yunchao, Deputy Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre, and Yang Ping, President of the Beijing Teqball Association attended the event and presented awards to the winners.

About 60 teams from Beijing, Zhangjiakou, Xiamen, Tianjin, Shenyang and Fuzhou competed in men’s singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles. During the intense competition, the players fought with great tenacity and demonstrated excellent skills, earning rounds of applause and cheers from the audience.

After two days of fierce group round robin and elimination rounds, Zhang Junming emerged as the men’s singles champion, Sun Zhiyu and Mao Yongqing won the men’s doubles title, and Sun Zhiyu and Cui Yazhen claimed the mixed doubles championship. The top four teams in each category would advance to the Teqball World Series Beijing China on behalf of China.
The Teqball World Series is the highest-level international event second only to the Teqball World Championships. The Teqball World Series Beijing will take place at the south gate plaza of the Beijing Olympic Forest Park from 20 to 22 September 2024. It will bring together 80 outstanding teams from 15 countries including China, Hungary, Thailand, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Germany and the United States, who will compete for the highest prize in the history of the Teqball World Series.
